About Spring Thinking

Meet The Founder
Spring Thinking is owned and operated by Danny Herbert. He’s been in the marketing, advertising and business growth space for over 30 years.
Usually, asking the same big question: ‘what’s our plan, and why?’
As new-business strategy director for regional marketing agencies, Danny’s challenge was to understand all manner of diverse markets, customers, and clients’ priorities. Quickly. Thoroughly. Usually from scratch.
Then, turn his insights into a compelling strategic plan accompanied by marketing ideas. Lots of people try to do this, because the rewards are so high. Fewer succeed.
Happily, the last 2 agencies Danny worked for both grew over 300%, winning regional Agency of the Year awards, as well as a whole lot of pitches. Along the way he helped TNT to the Marketing Society B2B prize, following a 3000% ROI direct mail campaign.
Pedigree
- 15 subsequent years as a consultant has deepened and broadened that experience. Being hand-picked and trained as a Design Council Associate, to provide strategic interventions to SMEs, for example.
- Danny ran Network Rail’s launch advertising/PR for its Grand Central, Birmingham shopping centre. Planned and executed a 12 month White Paper thought leadership programme for DHL.
- Researched farmers, salespeople and technicians in support of Massey Ferguson’s internal communications strategy, (which he’d also written).
- Proposed and sold in brand messaging for some of Mitchell & Butler’s and Whitbread’s best-known pub chains.
- Met a hundred deadlines and worked everywhere from Berlin to Beirut.
And still managed to retain his hair, somehow.

Associates
Just as importantly, Danny now has lots of friends who do things he doesn’t. This means Spring Thinking can deploy other energetic experts, to meet your needs as we identify them.
Three main areas are here.
Take a look. Odds are, your financial year would be improved by at least one of them…
Some of the lovely associates, in question, form the Catalyst alliance, which you can read about here. It’s a bit like the Avengers – different superpowers for different battles.
